I can't believe it's been one year!
Last year at this time, I was in a flurry of book events, podcast interviews, and launch team mobilization as I introduced my book on spiritual abuse to the world.
Many authors don’t enjoy the marketing and promotion of their books. I am fortunate that I love it. I enjoy coming up with fun reel ideas, engaging a launch team, and making appearances on podcasts…
And I absolutely love in-person book events.
With a topic as serious as this, [Spearing] brings the perfect amount of humor to add some levity at the right moments. The author brings so much wisdom and insight, as well as compassion and empathy. —Amazon Customer ️️️️️
It’s been a year since the book released, and marketing has changed a little bit now that the big kaboom of release date has passed. But I’ve learned that the author life involves consistently putting your work in front of people.
And just as the launch of my book was not a solo endeavor, neither is making sure this book about a very under-researched topic gets into the hands of the right people.
Which is why I’m so grateful for all the people who have reviewed the book so far!
Leaving abusive churches is extremely difficult and there is very little to no support for victims…This books truly has helped confirm those discernible feelings and for me, provided a lot of validation and clarity where I couldn’t even find the words to attempt explaining. Thank you for this book!—Melinda W. ️️️️️
Reviews help other readers know if the book is something they would enjoy. New reviews keep the book relevant and invite people to keep reading it.
So, on this auspicious day, one year after A Thousand Tiny Paper Cuts released into the world, I wonder if you would write a review on any book seller site.
I recommend leaving it on Amazon and Goodreads, as folks read reviews on those sites (even if they don't buy books there).
Katherine Spearing blends story telling with discussion of spiritual abuse, trauma and healing beautifully from the first chapter to the last…I'm loaning my copy out to local friends and gifting copies to non local friends who will be helped by it as well. —Daniel Souza ️️️️️
If you write a review, I’ll send you access to four recorded conversations that dig deeper into the themes of the book. Just write the review and fill out this form!
If you’ve already written a review and shared it with your people, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! Survivors of spiritual abuse deserve to have their stories heard and for the world to know that this sort of abuse exists.
You’re not just helping me as an author. You’re making sure the world doesn’t forget about an underserved population.
And it only takes five minutes!
Many thanks to you!
Love, Katherine
